I’m not surprised Maurizio Sarri has demanded a striker this week because they need one badly and they could probably get Wilson from Bournemouth for £30m.
He’s a willing runner and he would help them stretch the game.

At the moment it’s all so slow and predictable and the whole game is being played in a 30-yard space.
There is no movement at all and everyone just stays in their own position, so it’s easy for teams to stop and it could cost Chelsea a top-four finish.
“I don’t think he’s the answer”
Wilson would help because he makes good runs and he’s scoring goals right now.
Olivier Giroud is just a target man and he’s injured anyway.
As for Alvaro Morata, I honestly don’t know what he does. I don’t know what the Spaniard gives you – and Eden Hazard is just not a striker.
But as much as Wilson would help, I don’t think he’s the answer. He’s a good stop-gap but he’s not going to guarantee you top four.
West Ham’s star man Arnautovic might, though. He is a proven goalscorer and he gives you something different.
He can make things happen and do something special.
His agent has been making noises about him leaving as well and Chelsea could probably get him for £40m because of his age.
They’ve just spent nearly £60m on Christian Pulisic.
You pay for potential these days but he’s just a kid and he’s not coming until the summer anyway. He might be a big hit for Chelsea one day.
But they need players now, not for three years’ time. They should go for Arnautovic.
I think they’ve bought Pulisic because they know Hazard is off in the summer and they’re starting to plan for the future without him.
I’d be shocked if Hazard was still at Chelsea next season. The way he’s playing, you just know Real Madrid are going to come in for him.
If he really wanted to stay he’d have signed a new contract by now, but he hasn’t.
Pulisic is a good player. He did well for the USA against England and has been doing well in Germany.
But Chelsea signed him now because they knew that if they waited until after Hazard goes, Borussia Dortmund would have charged them extra.
Trouble is you are buying potential. He might come in and be quality. He might not. You just don’t know.
Losing Hazard should terrify Chelsea fans. He’s their whole team at the minute.
You’d have to spend £80m to get someone anywhere near as good. Will they do that? Who knows?
They could pay the wages and London is a big draw but they would have to be in the Champions League.
That’s why this month is such a big one. They need to sign the kind of player who is going to get them into the Champions League.
I actually think they might throw everything at winning the Europa League.
Sarri has never won a trophy and he knows if you don’t win something at Chelsea, it’s probably game over.
I think it could be another Manchester United situation, where they need the Europa League more than anyone else.
They are a million miles away from winning the league. They have one of the best defences in the division but don’t score enough goals.
They’ve got some decisions to make with other players on big money too.
I would keep them all until the end of the season but it looks like Cesc Fabregas will go.
David Luiz, 31, probably won’t be at Chelsea next season either. His contract is running down and they’re not giving him another big one at his age.
I hope Ruben Loftus-Cheek stays. He should. He’ll get more of a chance next season. He’s good enough. Don’t mess the kid around, he needs to play.
LIVERPOOL need to go out of the FA Cup as quickly as possible if they want to win the league, so their game at Wolves on Monday could be one to watch.
I hope Wolves take it seriously and don’t send out the reserves.
They’re at home and they’re not in relegation trouble so they should have a go.
For me, that’s what all those teams in the top half of the Premier League but not threatening the top six should do.
If I had to tip someone to win the cup, I would go for a team like Everton, for exactly that reason.
I’ve asked the question before and I’ll ask it again – would they rather finish seventh or win a trophy?
They’re not going to get relegated and they’re not going to finish in the top six. So have a go. Try to win a trophy. Don’t rest everyone.
The draw wins you the trophy but if they get through and end up playing a top-six team at home, I would still fancy them if they play their strongest team.
Leicester and West Ham should do the same thing. They could be dark horses too.
I’d be very disappointed if those three teams don’t take it seriously. But I’ve probably given them all the kiss of death now!
CRYSTAL PALACE will be making a big mistake if they don’t secure a striker in the transfer window.
They couldn’t get Dominic Solanke from Liverpool but that shouldn’t put them off looking to improve their firepower.
I thought Jermain Defoe would have been perfect for them.
They were crying out for a striker of his ilk but unfortunately he is now going to Rangers, where I suspect he will score lots of goals.
Defoe is intelligent, makes good runs and scores goals. He ticks all the boxes and wasn’t getting a game at Bournemouth.
Palace boss Roy Hodgson can’t risk missing out, though.
He and his board would be foolish to rely on the other teams being worse than they are – and you can bet that their rivals will all be moving in the market.
I think Fulham, Cardiff and Southampton will all be making signings because the threat of relegation is so big.
And Palace can’t afford to stand still in case one of them pulls off a big transfer.
It’s too late for Huddersfield. There’s no point them spending big money. They’re not turning that around.
Some of the teams at the top of the table need to be busy as well.
Arsenal need more than just a defender and Manchester City should be trying to find cover for Fernandinho.
There could be a lot of action between now and the end of the month.
