Ozil has featured just once since Boxing Day, playing 76 minutes in the 2-1 win over Cardiff last month.
But after failing to come off the bench against Manchester City last week, the midfielder is facing an uncertain future under Unai Emery.
The Gunners boss has regularly dropped Ozil in recent months, leading to speculation that the club’s highest earner will soon be on his way.
And according to CalcioMercato, Arsenal are in the process of trying to offload the playmaker.
The Italian outlet claim the north London outfit have offered Ozil to Inter Milan in recent days.
But CalcioMercato suggest this isn’t the first time Arsenal have asked the Italian side about their interest.
Ozil was also offered to the Serie A giants last year – but the club have turned down the chance to sign the German on each occasion.
Inter reportedly are not keen on a move due to the player’s high wages and performances in recent months.
Ozil was left out of Unai Emery’s 18-man squad for the trip to Huddersfield On Saturday, ruled out through illness along with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
And Arsenal fans believe the midfielder’s time at the club may be coming to an end.
“Mesut Ozil doesn’t fancy a cold, wet and windy afternoon in Huddersfield. Soft lad is all I can say,” one tweeted.
“Mesut Ozil ill. I’ll say nothing,” one said.
“Has anyone seen Mesut Ozil? Last seen during the Wenger era,” another wrote.
“Mesut Ozil is ill? That’s so unlike him. tom added,” added a fourth.
